We designed Sterling Estates of East Cobb to feel like a neighborhood. It starts at our entrance, which opens onto a pleasant drive. You’ll see our Cottage homes to the left and right of the Main Residence. These duplex and triplex Cottages are reminiscent of East Cobb’s finest custom-built homes.
At Sterling Estates of East Cobb, you’ll discover Independent Living with this classic neighborhood sensibility with country club-like amenities without leaving our campus. From our $1 million Wellness Center, with its indoor heated therapeutic pool to our charming Dining Room, we have what you’ve been looking for in senior Independent Living.
Furthermore, we handle the maintenance inside and out of your home allowing you more time to do the activities you are accustomed to doing, free to explore new activities and maintain or improve your physical and mental health with a wealth of active recreational, educational, social, cultural, and spiritual programs offered at Sterling. What costs are associated with living in a cottage?
To become a Member at Sterling Estates you pay a one-time membership fee to rent the cottage of your choice with a percentage of the membership fee being refundable. Moving into the perfect cottage at Sterling Estates does not involve the stresses of a typical real-estate transaction. Becoming a member at Sterling Estates is much like joining a country club. You pay a one-time membership fee and then pay monthly fees due each month.
Are meals included?
Our Cottages all have large, fully equipped kitchens and comfortable dining rooms, so our Cottage residents may prefer cooking most of their own meals. Included in your monthly rent is 30 meals a month taken as you please in our Main Residence Dining Room. Additional meals can be charged to you as used on a monthly basis.
Are Independent Living Fees tax deductible?

Are there additional costs for the wellness programs?
Wellness at Sterling Estates is an integral part of our daily lives and we believe our Sterling Way wellness programs are very effective in helping one improve his or her physical or mental well-being. There are no additional costs associated with participating in our Sterling Way wellness programs, using our exercise facilities, or swimming in the pool by yourself or with friends and family.
What if my health needs change?
Should the need arise, all Cottage residents are guaranteed priority for an Assisted Living Suite in the Main Residence without the charge of a community fee (one month’s rent). These Suites were designed to meet both Independent and Assisted Living needs. For couples, when one spouse comes to need assistance, residents only pay for the specific Assisted Living services required. We do have a number of residents who need no assistance living in our Main Residence.
