Final Phase of Independent Apartment Living Includes Clubhouse with Indoor/Outdoor Dining
Marietta GA (3 July 2019) – Senior living community owner and operator Sterling Estates announced the completion of the latest phase in its retirement neighborhood,
Sterling Estates of West Cobb, located in Marietta. The company will hold an Open House ceremony and reception in July with local officials, members of the press and the public invited to attend.
“In our residential community, well over half of our residents live independently in their cottage or apartment home,” said Sterling Estates Managing Partner Mike Brown. “We have provided them a vast array of amenities and services to enjoy with a variety of dining options, a large Sterling Way Wellness center, resident garden, and even a bocce ball court.”
The new Hampton residence includes 29 one- and two-bedroom apartments and a large clubhouse with a unique dining venue, The Club. With indoor and outdoor seating and a bar for socializing and “Happy Hours,” the clubhouse also includes areas for art, sculpturing and woodworking. A private entertainment room is available for parties, small events and presentations. The interior courtyard between The Landmark Residence and the two Independent Residences, The Stratford and The Hampton, provides additional gardens and walking paths and two shuffleboard courts.
“Our residents have so many opportunities for activities – there is never enough time to do it all,” exclaimed Deana Harris, executive director at Sterling Estates.
19 of the 29 apartments are already rented and occupied.
In July, Sterling Estates opened its memory care residence, The Grande, in the West Cobb development; with the opening of The Hampton, all that remains to complete the community is finishing the construction of its final fourteen cottages, of which five are already preleased. These spacious two-bedroom cottages are slated to open in the early fall of this year. Additional amenities including a dog park are planned for the fall as well, rounding out the popular Marietta neighborhood community.

About Sterling Estates of West Cobb
Like its sister community, Sterling Estates of East Cobb, the thirty-acre Sterling Estates of West Cobb has independent living cottages, garden homes and apartment homes in a classic neighborhood setting with walking paths, large resident garden, beautifully landscaped courtyards and pocket parks among other amenities for resident enjoyment. When fully built out, the independent neighborhood will have 59 cottages and garden homes and 50 one- and two-bedroom independent apartments with the independent living clubhouse. In addition to independent living, the community has a main living residence with 90 apartments, licensed as assisted living providing studio, one- and two-bedroom suites where residents live independently and receive assistance as needed. This main residence, The Landmark, has a variety of dining venues including The Sterling Grill and also the Sterling Way Wellness Center with an indoor heated saltwater aerobic pool. Completing the continuum of living and care on campus is The Grande, Sterling Estates memory care residence with 36 resident suites.
Sterling Estates of West Cobb is located at 3165 Dallas Highway, in the heart of Cobb County. Opened in August 2016, it currently has over 200 residents living throughout its neighborhood.

Refundable Contract
Unlike many active adult retirement community choices in Marietta, a Sterling Life comes with a refundable contract.
Independent Living at Sterling Estates of West Cobb only requires a one-year rental contract with a membership fee. We do require 120 days’ notice should you decide to leave, but only 30 days if it’s a medical emergency.
If you choose a Cottage, at the end of your contract period, at the present time 65% of your entrance fee is refunded when the unit is re-rented. This makes living at Sterling West Cobb a way to preserve assets for yourself and your estate.
When Needs Change
If your health care needs change, we’re here to help. As experts in senior care, we make sure our residents get the coordinated care they need.
Our staff works with many referral sources in the community, and we’re quite knowledgeable about all of the area’s medical facilities.
Whether a resident needs to talk to a case manager, a nursing home administrator, or wants a specialist recommendation, we can usually provide good counsel.

Sterling Estates of West Cobb and East Cobb are home to many men and women who served so honorably in our armed services, and/or their spouses. Many of them qualify for the Department of Veterans Affairs Aid and Attendance pension, commonly referred to as the A&A program. You may, too, if you are a Veteran or a spouse of a Veteran.
Many perceive these benefits as only being available for those who were wounded or disabled while serving in the military, and their spouses. In fact, many other veterans and their spouses can receive this benefit.
The A&A Program was created by our government to provide financial aid to Veterans and their surviving spouses who need caregiver assistance with the activities of daily living.

At Sterling Estates, we keep couples together. Life Care communities shouldn’t split up loving partners if they need different living options.
Residents of our Independent Living Cottages, and Independent Living flats are always guaranteed priority access to an Assisted Living Suite in our Main Assisted Living Residence should the need ever arise for an individual resident, a couple, or a spouse.
Assisted Living Suites have a set monthly fee but residents are only charged for those Assisted Living services that they and our care staff feel are necessary.
