Ismael Gonzalez

Culinary Director

Ismael was born in Mexico and traveled to the United States as a young man seeking the American dream.  From construction work to doing dishes in small restaurants to working on cleaning crews, he made his way to Georgia.  Our Sterling owners met him while he was working as a line cook at the restaurant in their office building in early 2012.  He was invited to join the Sterling team in early 2013.  

In the 10 years that Ismael has been Sterling’s Culinary Director, he has consistently planned and prepared thousands of delicious meals for our residents, families, and staff.  His creativity and execution of beautifully planned buffets for several hundred people and winning Best Taste of East Cobb four consecutive years are a testament to his dedication to the culinary arts.
